As mentioned in Part 1 of this article about noticing that some people just always seem to “always get it right” with money? All the while others struggle with the concept of saving $10 a month? Throughout the course of these past two years, I have gone through a series of self-reflections. I’ve come to find that there is a strong correlation between people’s personality and their aptitude for finances. Please don’t get me wrong that just because you take the Myers Briggs Personality Test doesn’t mean that you’re financially destined for that outcome. It just means your naturally inclined for that. I think it’s incredibly important to know yourself and what your strengths and weaknesses are. This is important so that you put fail safes in place so that you don’t have to experience the financial downsides to your personality.
Artisans
(If you don’t want to here the technical details about this group, you can just skip to the next paragraph). The fourth and final category we are going to talk about is The Artisans. You’ll note that all four under this category have the SP (meaning sensors, Perceive-rs). Well, first let’s take note that they both have the SP in their acronym. They are much more inclined to use their 5 senses versus their intuition in regards to finances. In other words, they are much more focused in the “here and now”. The “P” meaning perceiving as opposed to Judging in the 4th category refers to they way that they like to have their (financial or otherwise) plan play out….without a plan.
What does this mean regarding finances? This means they like to have things play things out in the here and now. Most likely the ones to overdraft and ultimate give you a lot of fees. I would recommend that you take some spending cash out each week strictly for fun money (fewer things to keep up with).
I’m not going to give you the details of the pros and cons for this group set (got to know you audience, right?) However, I will give you cool famous fictional characters (because you all have the nickname of “The Entertainers”, I figured it was fitting) that have a similar personality types.
Famous ESFP’s
Theon Greyjoy from Game of Thrones (I can honestly say that I’m not a bit surprised), Homer Simpson, Michael Scott from the Office (Haha, totally see it!)

Famous ISTP’s
